Doggett’s Coat and Badge
The views across the Thames to blackfriars bridge and St paul’s define our pub. The name has a river connection too.
almost 300 years ago, Thomas doggett established an amateur rowing race from London bridge to Chelsea.
The prize was a coat and badge. The race still runs every July.
