Roasted Pear and Blue Cheese Salad

Serves 2
Preparation time 10 minutes
Cooking time 25 minutes
Ingredients
25g butter, melted
2 tbsp honey
2 pears, cored and in quarters
4 slices cured ham, in half lengthways
100g bread, like ciabatta
100g punchy salad leaves
2 tbsp olive oil
1 tbsp balsamic vinegar
50g crumbly blue cheese
Method
Preheat the oven to 200°C/gas mark 6.
Stir the butter and honey together the best you can. It will be a little sticky!
Place the pears on a baking tray and brush generously with the butter and honey. Wrap them in the ham. Place in the oven and roast for 25 minutes. Tear the bread into chunks and add to the pears for the last 10 minutes of cooking.
Divide the leaves between 2 plates and drizzle with the oil and vinegar. Crumble over the cheese and scatter the salad with the croutons. Top with the pears.
Serve with a chilled glass of perry.
