Stunning 360 view of Stonehenge

Stonehenge 360 Degree Viewer from The BBC. Its extremely good but please allow a little time for it to load.

Questions Asked Regent Palace Hotel History.

Hi. Do you have any pix of The Planters Bar please? I worked with Lino, Brian, Kim, Betty and Claudio 84 to 88 .. Craziest/Busiiest/Happiest time of my life.

So sorry but I have none of this lively and interesting bar. It was originally the Regent Cocktail bar opened at the same time as the Stetson Saloon and Garry’s  Coffee shop It was always difficult  to photograph due to its unusual shape and size it changed image  shape and design several times  and was lastly the Planters Bar before being developed as part of Callaghan’s. It never really got the recognition it deserved. I remember James Addison  ( Sale and Marketing ) re-launching Planters  in the early 199o;s with  some really fancy cocktails  which were so rich and strong that several people were very unwell those were the days The picture I enclose is from the 60’s and I think it may be Lino in the picture can’t be sure but when it became planters the bars was moved around to face the door which you can see on far side of the room.

Groupon Offer, Le Bouchon Breton, Meal for two only £35.20

Today's deal: Two Course Meal for Two for £35.20 at Le Bouchon Breton (Up To £87.90 Value)

The French flag is famous across the seven seas, representing the nation's culinary prowess and valorous vintners in the famous tri colour; red, white and blue steak tartare. Think've rank o' file with today's Groupon: for £35.20 two people can enjoy a two course meal at Le Bouchon Breton.

The bigger sister and second in Le Bouchon's fleet, Spitalfields' Gallic Brasserie is captained by restauaranteur Ian Stoppani, with the former head chef at Le Gavroche, Nicholas Laridan, manning the galley kitchens. Unrelentingly traditional with a MENU of iconic French dishes, the Le Bouchon larder is stocked daily with fresh seafood from Bristol's best catches, and a cross of Scottish Black Angus, Charolais or Limousin bovines from a single herd in Lancashire.

Today's Groupon includes sending a "répondez s'il vous plait" to one lucky other. Diners will find their way to the raised terrace under the cover of the redeveloped Spitalfields market a few minutes' walk from Liverpool Street station. With one starter and one main to choose each, recommendations can be sought from the amiable accented staff, or palettes might be tempted by midday menu options such as the saucise de Toulouse / pommes puree: grilled Toulouse sausage served with mashed potatoes (£8.95), or the filet de truite saumonee grille en nicoise: salad nicoise with a grilled fillet of rainbow trout and marinated anchovies (£9.75). Starters include the sardines a L'escabeche: butterflied grilled sardines served with Escabeche sauce (£8.95), or the foie gras terrine served with mango compote (£14.95). With more relish to savor, fruits of the Atlantic such as the moules mariniers (£7.95) or the half lobster thermidor (£19) are available, or main dishes like the Carre D'Agneau: French trimmed rack of lamb served with Dauphin potatoes, spinach and baby onions (£21), or sautéed veal sweetbread in a pepper and vinegar jus (£28).
