Barber's the cheesemakers are famous for their traditional starter cultures, which are a closely guarded secret within this long-established family firm. Moist and rich, Barber's Vintage Reserve Cheddar is matured for a full 24 months, which results in a creamy, strong, tangy, rounded flavour. Presented in an eau de nil box, it would make a fine present for any lover of cheese.

These bastions of Britishness are made with outdoor-bred Lincolnshire pork. They are perfectly crumbly with rich pastry and have a seam of cool jelly layered above the densely packed pork. Delicious on their own or served with Fortnum's classic Piccadilly Piccalilli.

The classic scotch egg invented by Fortnum's in 1738 is still a firm favourite today. These hen's eggs are wrapped in deliciously seasoned pork sausagemeat then covered in a crisp breadcrumb coating. Perfect for spring picnics and hearty lunches.
