Build the Truce at IWM LondonNew interactive display opens Thursday 24 May
Investigate the concepts of truce and conflict resolution through films and eyewitness interviews collected as part of an IWM learning project.
The stories told through the Build the Truce display, which is part of the Cultural Olympiad, draw attention to the efforts of individuals to broker or break permanent peace. Highlights include extracts from interviews with former IRA prisoner Seanna Walsh and former UDA prisoner Jackie McDonald, both now involved in Northern Irish peace initiatives, and Dr Tony Redmond, who led aid teams in Kosovo following NATO attacks in 1999.
You can also explore the theme of global truce with the kids at our free drop-in family activities on 26 and 27 May.
Display and activities are free.
