The Geffrye Museum What's on Events For Adults in July

Dance performance at the Geffrye
JULY EVENTS FOR ADULTS 
 
Big Dance Special
Saturday 7 July, 10.30am - 4.00pm
Enjoy dance performances by participants of the Move the Museum project and the Replica Dance Company as part of this special event which also includes workshops and storytelling for children of all ages.
 2.00pm and 4.00pm.  Move the Museum Dance Performance: Where the Heart Is    
The performance will promenade through the museum, with the dancers leading the audience. 
A project inspired by the Geffrye’s theme of the 'Home'. 
 2.30pm and 4.30pm. Replica Dance Performance 4.14
Takes place in the Lecture Room. The Replica Dance company will perform a thrilling piece themed around a 1930s train station.

      At Home with the World exhibition tours 
      Saturday 14 July + Thursday 26 July, 10.15am, 11.15am, 2.15pm, 3.15pm + 4.15pm
      Join our Young Volunteer Tours Guides for a tour of our At Home with the World exhibition. As part of the interactive tour you will discover more about the exhibition’s key objects and themes, visit the Collection Stores, and find out how young people have been involved throughout the Stories of the World programme
      Tickets are free, but numbers are limited and will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis 10 minutes before the tour begins.
       
      Restored Historic Almshouse tours
      Saturday 7 July + Wednesday 18 July, 11.00am, 12noon, 2.00pm, 3.00pm + 4.00pm
      Visit the restored historic almshouse which has been fully restored to its original condition, offering a rare glimpse into the lives of London's poor and elderly in former times. Tours are conducted by museum volunteers.
      Adults £2.50, Friends of the Geffrye, disabled visitors (and their companion) and children under 16 free. Numbers are limited and will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. Please note that only groups of 8 or more can book in advance.
