Mayor's Charity Christmas concert
The Mayor of Kensington & Chelsea Magic Wand Charity Appeal 2012 - 2013
The Mayor of the Royal Borough is holding his carol concert at St Mary Abbot’s Church on Thursday 6 December at 7.30pm.

Conducted by John Rutter with a choir of experienced singers drawn from one of London’s most prestigious choirs, it will be a wonderful occasion to remember.

Distinguished readers include Sir Malcolm Rifkind MP, Sir Simon Jenkins, Honor Blackman, Geraldine James and Marsha Fitzalan. After the concert there will be a glass of wine and a mince pie or alternatively there is a buffet supper in the Mayor’s Parlour.

All profits will go to The Brain Tumour Research Campaign which is raising funds for a Sonowand, a new tool that will revolutionise the treatment of brain tumours and will be the first in the country. It is a state of the art neuro navigational system enabling surgeons to operate more accurately...a 'Magic Wand'. Brain Tumours are the largest single cancer killer for children and adults under 40 and one of the fastest growing forms of cancer in this country.

Tickets are £25 each for the concert and a further £25 for those who attend the supper in the Mayor’s Parlour afterwards and are available from The Mayor’s Parlour, Kensington Town Hall. Please telephone 020 7361 3659 or email the Mayor's office.

If you are unable to come but would like to make a donation, please contact the Mayor’s Parlour as above.
