Francine Stock (BBC Radio 4 The Film Programme) and Peter Florence (Hay Festival) explore ways in which contemporary cinema has used the Thames.
Watch snippets from and discuss Thames-featuring classic films including Underground, Ziesfield Follies, The Long Good Friday, Orlando and The World is Not Enough.

Free activities for the whole family all weekend at Potters Fields Park.
Thames Festival’s interactive river zone displaying organisations involved with the ecology, history and industries of the Thames, plus origami workshops led bySesames and clay-moulding with Whale of a Time.
Live on the Blue Ribbon Stage – a programme of sea shanty choirs, nautical songs and story-telling.

1513: A Ships' Opera
Cultureship Project by twice Turner Prize-nominated Richard Wilson and artists Zatorski + Zatorski.
Get ready for Thames Festival’s spectacular Saturday night event!
An armada of historic vessels will perform a water-borne opera – culminating in a breath-taking light and sound display at the Pool of London between Tower Bridge and London Bridge.

Entries are open for Thames Festival’s annual photo competition. Win amazing prizes including an Olympus PEN lite E-PL5Olympus PEN mini E-PM2The View from The Shard tickets or a night's stay atGuoman Hotel.
Photos will be judged in three categories: River of Life, River City and Festival River.
