Acton Depot Open Weekend
Acton Depot Open WeekendFriday 1 November to Sunday 3 November 2013
We're opening our Depot in Acton to the public for our bi-annual Open Weekend on 1 to 3 November. We hope you can join us at the Depot for a behind the scenes look at the collection with costumed interpreters, talks, tours, films and a live painting demonstration. Take an up close look at the restored Met Locomotive No. 1 and the Victorian Jubilee Carriage 353 as we start to round off this year’s celebrations of the 150th anniversary of the London Underground. There will also be fun for the family with miniature tram and railway rides, story-telling sessions and drop in sessions to make your own 2D vehicle model and learn how to create stop-frame animation. Tickets are valid for all three days and kids go free.
