Bright Club at the Star of Kings

Bright Club, the comedy night where UCL researchers try their hand at stand-up comedy, returns to the Star of Kings, for another night of jocular jests about jolly research.
We’ve got 6 intrepid researchers lined up for your entertainment, plus a couple of procomedians in support.

Focus on the Positive at the Grant Museum

Worried about the world's problems? Focus on the Positive is an event that gives you a chance to make things better. Join us to hear UCL researchers pitch their ideas, and you can actually help to decide which ones will get funded, with the winner getting a £2000 prize to fix the world.

This event is free and there is no need to book. There will be a paid bar with all proceeds going to the conservation of our historic collection.

Experiments in Form: UCL Art Museum on Tour

Join artist and Slade graduate Nadine Mahoney for this hands-on workshop exploring the influence of formal elements in the creation and the understanding of art.

You will explore, through discussion and making, how artists have long used the simple frame to create complex works, hide and reveal aspects of their process and direct the gaze.

Night at the Museum Mile – Half term activities

To celebrate the release of the new film 'Night at the Museum: Secret of the Tomb', in cinemas from this December, 12 museums from London's Museum Mile have come together to offer a host of activities, workshops and film screenings during the October half term, plus a chance for a family to win a once-in-a-lifetime trip to LA.
The Grant and Petrie Museums’ film screenings have sold out, but we still have a very few tickets left for the Petrie Museum’s ‘From tomb to life’ family workshop (Thurs 30 Oct).
Between 17 and 31 October a special 'Night at the Museum Mile' trail will offer visitors a competition entry for every participating museum they visit, with up to 12 chances to win the US trip plus a host of other prizes.Full details of the trail and competition will be online at museum-mile.org.uk from 10 Oct.Activities are part of Night at the Museum Mile delivered by inmidtown.
