Battersea cattery link to cult TV show The Prisoner



A cattery at Battersea Cats and Dogs Home has been given Grade II listed status.
Whittington Lodge was built in 1907 and was designed by architect Clough Williams-Ellis. He was the creator of the Italianate masterpiece Portmeirion in north Wales, which was used as a location in The Prisoner, a cult 1960s TV show.
BBC London's Gareth Furby spoke to Claire Horton, chief executive of Battersea Dogs and Cats Home, Veronica Fiorato, from English Heritage, and Culture Minister Ed Vaizey MP.
