Rugby World Cup 2015

Between Friday 18 September and Saturday 31 October, Rugby World Cup 2015 will take place. There will be 17 matches across three London venues - The Stadium, Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park in Stratford, Wembley Stadium and Twickenham Stadium.

On Friday, Tube and rail services from central London to/from Twickenham are expected to be exceptionally busy due to the opening ceremony and first match. If you can, please consider re-timing your travel or seeking alternative routes where possible and allow more time for your journey. For all matches at Twickenham, part of A316 Chertsey Road will be closed and road users are advised to plan alternative routes and avoid travelling in the area.

On Saturday evening, another match will take place at Twickenham Stadium and on Sunday afternoon, a match will take place at Wembley Stadium. On Wednesday 23 September a match will take place at The Stadium, Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park in Stratford in the evening.

During the tournament, public transport and roads serving the stadiums will be much busier before and after the matches. Customers and road users not attending the matches are advised to, where possible, avoid these venues before and after matches and plan their journeys in advance.
