Explore the lands to the east of the ancient City of London, between the walls of the Tower and the valley of the River Lea. This is an area with a diverse history that has left a built legacy that includes medieval pleasure grounds, Tudor industrial estates, Georgian commuter suburbs and Victorian palaces of culture, not to mention the dreamscapes of the Modernist avant-garde. Join this tour led by expert architectural guide David Garrard and sample some of this bewildering variety from the comfort of your saddle.
