Trafalgar Day Commemorations
20
 – 21 October
This year we have a range of events to mark Trafalgar Day – one of the nation's most important naval victories. We begin the day before the anniversary with a special talkby our Curator of Naval History, Dr James Davey. He'll overturn many misconceptions about the battle and launch his new book In Nelson's Wake. On the day itself you can explore letters and journals written by men in Nelson's navy while our curators give 'live' updates on the progress of the battle. You can also see Turner's masterpiece the Battle of Trafalgar on display in a free gallery.
