Transport for London - Weekend travel information - travel update to help you get around London this weekend, 12/13 December

weekly travel update to help you get around London this weekend, 12/13 December. Most of the network will be open with services running as normal, but please check if any of the following affect you.

Travelling during the festive season?
From Thursday 24 December 2015 to Sunday 3 January 2016, planned improvement works and service changes may affect your journey. There will be no service on the entire TfL network on Christmas Day, Friday 25 December. Some National Rail airport services will not run on certain days. To make the most of London, plan ahead. London Overground


Tonight, Thursday, trains will not run between Hackney Downs and Chingford after 22:30, due to Network Rail track work.

On Sunday, there will be no service between the following stations, due to Network Rail track work:
Richmond and Willesden Junction
Sydenham and Crystal Palace

Buses


Bus users may be affected by the following this weekend. While we will try to maintain a good service, buses may be delayed or stop short of their normal destination:

Twickenham - From 11:00 until 18:00 today, Thursday, roads leading to Twickenham station and stadium are expected to be busy due to an event.

Central London - Until 06:00 on Wednesday 23 December, there are various full overnight closures in both directions on Victoria Embankment and Upper Thames Street, from Westminster Bridge to Southwark Bridge. This is due to Cycle Superhighway carriageway resurfacing works. For more information, please visit tfl.gov.uk/eastwest

North London - Until 05:00 on Saturday, A406 Angel Road (North Circular Road) will be closed at the junction of Montagu Road due to maintenance work. There are no works today, Thursday.

East London - Until 08:00 on Sunday 20 December, Southend Arterial Road has various lane and road closures in place, between Gallows Corner Flyover and Ardleigh Green Road due to bridge replacement works. On the weekends of the 12th and 19th December, Southend Arterial Road will be closed in both directions, between 16:00 on the Saturday and 07:00 on the Sunday.

Greenwich - Until 19:00 on Wednesday 16 December, there are two-way temporary traffic signals in place at Creek Road, at the junction of Creekside. This is due to utility works.

Roads


Road users may be affected by the following this weekend:

Santander Cycles


The following docking stations will be out of service this weekend:
