TfL email update_________________Image not displayed
weekly travel update to help you get around London this weekend, 16/17 January. Most of the network will be open with services running as normal, but please check if any of the following affect you.

Lumiere London Festival
From today, Thursday, until Sunday, roads and stations in central London, in particular the West End and King’s Cross areas, will be busier than usual each evening. This is due to the Lumiere London Festival, a free event devised by creative producers Artichoke and backed by the Mayor of London. Please plan ahead and allow more time to complete your journey.

There will be a number of road closures in central London between 16:30 and 23:30; these include parts of Oxford Street, Piccadilly and Regent Street. Road users are advised to avoid the area from 16:30 and to expect longer journeys if travelling in central London after this time, particularly this evening and tomorrow evening.

Some central London bus routes will be diverted between 16:00 and 23:30, as a result of road closures. Bus journeys are expected to take longer. Buses may be diverted or stop short of their destination. Tube stations in and around the area, particularly Oxford Circus, are expected to be busier than usual between 17:00 and 20:00. It may be difficult to replenish Santander Cycles docking stations in the central London area.

Please also note that parts of Oxford Street and Regent Street will be closed overnight on Sunday 17 January, in order to dismantle the installations.
