Transport for London - Weekend travel information - 23/24 January 2016

weekly travel update to help you get around London this weekend, 23/24 January. Most of the network will be open with services running as normal, but please check if any of the following affect you.





London Underground


We are undertaking a comprehensive improvement programme across London’s transport network, including the modernisation of the Tube.

Jubilee line
There will be no service between Waterloo and Stanmore while we replace track and drainage at Finchley Road and Wembley Park.

Metropolitan line
Trains will not run between Aldgate and Harrow-on-the-Hill while we replace track and drainage at Finchley Road and Wembley Park and carry out line upgrade work.




London Overground


On Sunday, there will be no service between Gospel Oak and Barking, to prepare the line for electrification.

Buses


Bus users may be affected by the following this weekend. While we will try to maintain a good service, buses may be delayed or stop short of their normal destination:

Central London - Until Monday 8 February, there are southbound lane closures between Holborn Viaduct and Ludgate Circus. This is due to Cycle Superhighway construction works. For more information, please visit tfl.gov.uk/northsouth

King’s Cross - Between 22:00 and 05:00, from Sunday until Friday 29 January, Euston Road and Pentonville Road will be closed eastbound, between Pancras Road and Penton Rise. This is due to resurfacing works.

Central London - From 21:00 on Monday 25 January until 05:00 on Wednesday 27 January, Cockspur Street will have an eastbound lane closure, at the junction of Trafalgar Square. This is due to traffic signal modernisation works.

Roads


Road users may be affected by the following this weekend:

Central London - Until Monday 8 February, there are southbound lane closures between Holborn Viaduct and Ludgate Circus. This is due to Cycle Superhighway construction works. For more information, please visit tfl.gov.uk/northsouth

Central London - Until mid-February, Puddle Dock is closed northbound from Upper Thames Street to Queen Victoria Street. This is due to Cycle Superhighway construction works. For more information, please visit tfl.gov.uk/eastwest

West London - From 22:00 tonight, Thursday, until 05:00 tomorrow, Friday, the M4 will be closed westbound between Junction 1, Chiswick and Junction 3, A312 Cranford. This is due to highway works.

The following docking stations will be out of service this weekend:
Bermondsey Street, for carriageway works
Breams Buildings, for utility works
Kingsway, for repair works
Parkway, for resurfacing works
South Quay West and Wansey Street, for building works
