Inspired by the formality of Arts and Crafts gardens, A Suffolk Retreat offers a secluded space with a small summerhouse where young people with special educational needs, such as autism, can engage with music. Garden elements are inspired by local artisan crafts: pargetting, handmade bricks, flint and metalwork. The pastel planting palette both calms and stimulates.
The garden celebrates the work of the Pro Corda Trust. Founded in 1969, Pro Corda is a Suffolk-based musical and educational charity that provides musical and ensemble training across the UK for talented young musicians and children with special educational needs.
