Kew Gardens - September highlights at Kew

We are stepping into autumn which means the Gardens are glowing with gold and fiery red leaves. If you’re a Friend of Kew, Don't miss this opportunity to enjoy the Gardens before the gates open in our early opening hours now until 30 September.

With your day admissions to the Gardens, We recommend you visit The Hive and a walking tour for insight into Kew’s history, plants, science.

Explore behind the scenes of The Herbarium, Library Art & Archives and Tropical Nursery all free of charge. With Kew experts on hand, explore the 45,000 tropical plants, 7 million dried plant specimens and artefacts usually locked away.
Flora Japonica

Flora Japonica displays intricate botanical paintings by 30 of Japan’s best contemporary and most revered botanists and artists showcasing the natural beauty of plants such as Camellias, Cherry Trees and the Japanese maple.

BE perform ONE

ONE is the soundscape composed for The Hive installation at Kew. BE is the collective name of the musicians who recorded it, and features The Hive’s creator Wolfgang Buttress and 40,000 UK bees.
