Strawberry Hill - 🍓 Hill Newsletter: An Update from the Original House of Horror

Halloween at Horace's House of Horror

22nd October- 4th November

With Strawberry Hill being the original inspiration for the first gothic novel, it follows naturally that we should play host to some spooky shenanigans. Join us for one of our many family activities, and we have a couple of treats for adults too...
Kicking off on the 22nd is The Big Draw. Use your imagination to create a 'spooktacular' fantasy character at a gothic castle. Will yours be creepy, spooky or a haunting hybrid? It's up to you. Running alongside this and onward into Halloween are our two children’s trails. Families are invited to solve The Mystery of the Suit of Armour in our spooky woodland walk, whilst in the house you can solve the riddle of Mr Walpole & the Curse of the Talking Book.
For a transportive evening of storytelling and puppets, join Strawberry Hill andPollock's Toy Theatre on 28th October for a performance- in traditional Victorian pantomime style- of Jack the Giant Killer. For the more grown-up children among us (11+) there is a performance of The Castle of Otranto on 4th November.
As dusk falls on 26th October come along to our Twilight Tour and enjoy a complimentary glass of Prosecco with your ticket. For children on 29th & 30th October we are running our Spooky Stories. Children are invited to dress up in their favourite Halloween costumes, explore the dark corners of the castle and listen to some creepy tales. Finally, make yummy apple treats in Awesome Apples on 30th October.
