OMA present The Pan-European Living Room

#FearandLove

OMA, the architecture practice founded by Rem Koolhaas, is one of eleven designers who have created installations for Fear and Love: Reactions to a Complex World. In response to the recent Brexit vote, OMA present The Pan-European Living Room. Furnished with a piece of design from each of the 28 EU member states, the installation explores the European influence on today's domestic interior. The centrepiece of the room is a vertical blind in the form of the OMA-designed EU barcode flag.

Adopt the Apple iMac

The colourful design of the Apple iMac was reportedly influenced by sweets. Certainly, Jonathan Ive and Apple’s design team visited confectionery companies for advice on how to produce the translucent polycarbonate shell. When the G3 was launched, Steve Jobs said “It looks so good you kinda wanna lick it”. Support the new Design Museum by adopting the Apple iMac.
