Join us in December for a host of Christmas events and a last opportunity to visit Strawberry Hill before the New Year.
 

Last Opportunity to Visit! 3, 4, 10 & 11 December

Enjoy one last look around Horace Walpole's castle before it closes until spring. Visit tickets for self-guided tours are available from 12noon until 4pm. If you would like a guided tour with one of our expert guides then join us at 10.30am on any of the days we are open. Guided tours must be pre-booked.

The garden and cafe will be open. After your visit why not pick up some stocking fillers or Christmas cards from our lovely gift shop which will also be open to visitors.

Spine Tingling Stories - Ghost Stories for Christmas, 3 December, 7.30pm

Don't Go into the Cellar 
invite daring members of the public to join them in the macabre tradition of the BBC's classic 1970s programme, Ghost Stories for Christmas. In the home of gothic, enjoy an evening of vengeful revenants, restless spirits and malevolent ghouls where humour and horror are guaranteed.

Fairytale Fashion - 5 December, 7.00pm
Step into your favourite stories as the History Wardrobe explores the world of magical clothes and well-loved tales. With wonderful replica gowns and original historical items,you will see a dazzling fairy godmother dress Cinderella for all the glory of an 18th Century ball. This is a truly enchanting presentation for all those who love fairy tales and fabulous costumes.

Family Workshops

12 Days of Christmas Calendar - 3 December, 2pm


Use beautiful Victorian-style papers to create a traditional calendar so you can count down the 12 days of Christmas. Suitable for over 5s. £9, book here.

Delicious Decorations - 10 & 11 December, 11am

Decorate delicious festive ginger bread, perfect to give as gifts or hang on a tree. Suitable for under 5s. £7, book here.


Buy your Christmas Tree from Strawberry Hill


From 3 December until Sunday 18 December, Trees for Christmas will be selling a variety of lovely, real trees from the Strawberry Hill car park. There will be varieties available from Denmark, Scotland and Surrey, including non-drop and traditional varieties. On site, trees of 3ft to 10ft will be available, and trees up to 35ft can be ordered.

Trees for Christmas will be open 7 days a week from 3rd December. 50% of profits from trees sold will go to The Strawberry Hill Trust, so why not buy a lovely tree and contribute to our charitable trust at the same time!
