European Wildlife Photographer of the Year
Opens Saturday 26 November
The beauty and diversity of the natural world is captured in over 80 images selected for last year’s European Wildlife Photographer of the Year competition. On display in London for the first time the pictures include an ant’s tiny landscape magnified into a colourful ‘fairyland’ (pictured) and British photographer Richard Peter’s award-winning image of an urban fox.

Explore Taxidermy
Saturday 26 November, 11.45am and 12.30pm
Join taxidermist and artist Jazmine Miles-Long for a family talk about her work and find out about her current display Memorial. A Tribute to Taxidermy. Suitable for families with children aged 5+.

Taxidermy Model Making for Families
Saturday 26 November, 2pm and 3.15pm
Make your own bind up model, one of the first stages in creating a taxidermy specimen, complete with a cast skull and glass eyes. Suitable for families with children aged 5+.

Youth Late: Smoke and Mirrors
Saturday 26 November, 6.30-9.30pm
The Horniman’s Youth Panel have pulled the rabbit out of the hat for their seventh magical annual Youth Late event. Shake your bones to live bands, DJs and acoustic acts and let our photo booth steal your soul. For young people aged 14-19. Full line up will be available on the website soon.

Horniman Farmers’ Market
Every Saturday, 9am–1.30pm
Visit the Horniman Farmers’ Market every Saturday to pick-up your weekly essentials direct from independent and local producers. Located in our glorious Gardens you will find stalls selling seasonal fruit and veg, artisan bread, organic meat and delicious hot food. Every week we also have guest traders specialising in treats such as luxury chocolates, homemade jams and irresistible cakes.

Horniman Christmas Fair
Saturday 3 and Sunday 4 December, 10.30am-4.30pm
Enjoy a festive weekend of family activities, seasonal food, shopping and carols. Discover crafted handmade gifts in the Arts and Crafts market and great produce at the Farmers' Market.
