Remix Victorian Christmas cards to create your own fun contemporary design to take away and send to friends. Use the Museum’s Christmas card collection, started since our first director Henry Cole invented them in 1843, and bring classic designs into the twenty first century! Read more

Explore the V&A with fantastic stories, games and multi-sensory materials. Choose from Back-Packstrails, or for the under 5s, an Agent Animal bag.

Hands-on exhibits are available throughout the Museum – look for the hand symbol on the map.

Seek out Christmas objects around the Museum through a playful paper trail. This trail is also available from information desks from Saturday 3 December. Read more

Discover the enchanting world of The Nutcracker in a ballet performance created by Tempered Body Dance Theatre, with performers from Highgate Ballet School. Read more

Led by the Embroiderers’ Guild, take part in free, drop-in embroidery workshops inspired by works from the Opus Anglicanum: Masterpieces of English Medieval Embroidery exhibition and festive objects around the Museum. Read more
