Join This Brutal World author and graphic designer Peter Chadwick for a discussion of his formative years growing up in the North East of England in the 1980s, where the surrounding industrial landscape ignited his interest in concrete, music and Brutalism. Peter will be choosing and discussing a collection of favourite buildings from his book accompanied by music from the period.Read more and book

THE PAGE-TURNER: PHOTOGRAPHIC ARCHIVES, PHOTOBOOK WORKS AND SELF-PUBLISHING
Tuesday 24, Wednesday 25 & Thursday 26 January,

This three-day course will explore the exciting intersection of photographic archives and photobook publishing. The first day will be spent at the Museum exploring artists’ photobooks in the National Art Library. The workshop will continue at the London South Bank University in the art studios, where participants will develop photobook dummies.

Work with photographer Luke Watson to create work that places the photographer and camera as the central subjects of the image. Taking inspiration from The Camera Exposed display, you will study the approaches of a variety of photographers before shooting and printing your own images.
