SOMERSET HOUSE STUDIOS: ADDITIONS & HIGHLIGHTS
Starting on Sat 11 Mar, a new series Nocturnal City: The State of London Club Life explores the state of London’s nightlife and its influence in pushing the boundaries of culture.
Curated by Studio resident Estela Oliva in collaboration with Somerset House Studios, the first edition interrogates the interplay between London and Berlin nightlife with an evening of installations, panel talks and performances, featuring London Night Czar Amy Lamé in conversation with Clubcommission Berlin, musicians Laurel Halo and Beatrice Dillon and artists Lawrence Lek and LaTurbo Avedon.
Following the success of her first Sound Salon series in January, Somerset House Studios Associate Artist Jennifer Walshe returns on Wed 15 Feb to discuss music, memes and the post-internet culture of contemporary hip-hop with a guest talk from Dr Michael Waugh.

And Resident LoneLady brings the second edition of her experimental club night Shutters Down! from Manchester to Somerset House's Deadhouse on Sat 25 Feb with special guest DJ John Doran, music writer and co-founder of The Quietus, plus there's a live set from Manchester avant-noise band Vanishing.
