Make at home: the perfect Americano
Frank Boxer, the man behind our classic cocktails menu at the Pavilion Bar, shares his recipe for the perfect Americano.

"Americano is my favourite summer drink. Engagingly bitter, slightly sweet, and cold there's nothing else quite like it on a sunny afternoon. The recipe is beautifully simple and the result is perfectly balanced: the refreshing, bitter citrus of the Campari blended with the dark sweetness of the vermouth, in turn being lightened and lengthened with the tingle of fizzy water."

What you’ll need
  • 25ml Campari
  • 25ml Martini Rosso
  • Ice
  • Soda, to top
  • Orange slice, to garnish
Method

Pour the Campari and vermouth over ice into a rocks glass, top with soda and garnish with wedge orange, stir and enjoy!
