Kew Gardens - Summer at Kew Garden

With the roses in full bloom, this summer Kew Gardens is brimming with activities; from celebrating Pollinator Day on 20 July to our weekly Foodie Fridays in the Kitchen Garden, you'll find a great way to enjoy the summer weather.
Family activities 
Join in on our family friendly activities taking place around the Gardens throughout this July and August
Insect Adventure Camp
This summer from 22 July - 3 September our woodland area will be awash with fun hands-on activities, mini-beast adventures, animation and performance for all the family to celebrate the crucial role our bees, butterflies and wild pollinators play.
 
Science Festival
Come and meet our world-leading experts at the Science festival from 4 - 6 August. Discover over 15 interactive areas, giving all ages a hands-on opportunity to explore Kew’s scientific work.

Animation Workshop
Make and animate paper flowers, insects and other pollinators and film your creation as we follow a beetle on its journey to find the perfect plant to pollinate. 
 
Theatre on Kew
The Wind in the Willows and The Dream Fairies will return this summer, showcasing enchanting theatre in the Gardens. 

 
Tanabata
This Japanese festival celebrates the coming together of two stars. Enjoy workshops, activities and performances marking this ancient summer event.
Kew After Hours: The Hive

Enjoy an exclusive After Hours event this August at The Hive. Bringing together art, design, science and nature, this immersive installation comes into its own in the evening. We'll be celebrating all things bee and cocktails, wine and small bites will also be on hand at our pop up bar. Bring your friends for a unique evening at Kew Gardens.
