Superbugs: The Fight For Our Lives
Opens 9 November
Antibiotics have enabled us to combat diseases that were once untreatable. But bacteria have fought back, evolving into superbugs resistant to even the most powerful antibiotics.
Our new exhibition explores how society is responding to the enormous challenge of antibiotic resistance, featuring scientific research from across the globe and the personal stories of those waging war on the superbugs.
Skylark: Britain's First Pioneering Rocket
On display from 13 November
In 1957, Britain joined the space race with the launch of Skylark, its first rocket. It was used by scientists to investigate Earth’s upper atmosphere and to carry out cutting-edge space research.
This small exhibition explores the history behind the rocket—from the scientists to the engineers who designed it.
