Somerset House - Refashion your winter wardrobe with us in December

LEARNING EVENTS IN DECEMBER AND JANUARY

This winter we put the spotlight on sustainability during the festive season and kick off the New Year by waving a celebratory goodbye to Hassan Hajjaj: La Caravane. Join us weekly for free exhibition spotlight tours; plus we've just announced the next in our series of artist-led talks to accompany our major winter exhibition, North: Fashioning Identity.

GIVE A KNIT

Looking for an antidote to throwaway Christmas culture? We've teamed up with Somerset House residents Hubbub for a week of activity aimed at refashioning your winter wardrobe.

All of this week there's a chance to feed your unwanted clothing to our hungry collection points around site. These will be used in our upcycling workshops on Sat 9 Dec, where you can spend the afternoon with eco-fashion designers Katie Jones and Gillian June and learn how to hack, embellish and upcycle old clothes to create unique garments to take home. Any unused clothing will be donated to charities working with homeless or vulnerably housed Londoners.
