We recently acquired a beautifully illustrated graphic journal created by Bernard George Dale that is destined for display in the future.
The 28 drawings depict a day he spent on leave at Thornwick Bay with his girlfriend, later wife, Cicely Jackson.
In our last instalment, Bernard's final two touching drawings, above, show that they had time for a quick listen to some Beethoven before Bernard caught a train back to his base, and they parted with a kiss.
