Stormtroopers, Honey Monster and thongs... The weird and wonderful fancy dress of the London Marathon 2012
Here’s a selection of our favourite London Marathon costumes that brought a smile to the faces of spectators today

It takes dedication, strength and discipline to run a gruelling 26.2-mile marathon course.
But it takes something else to complete the feat wearing a sweltering head-to-toe fancy dress costume.
Every year, hundreds of London Marathon runners take to the streets of the capital in fabulous fancy dress costumes to raise extra cash for charity... or just for the fun of it.
Whatever the reason, these runners make the London Marathon bring a smile to the faces of fellow runners and spectators alike.
This year a rhino, a pantomime horse and a Sir Jimmy Savile lookalike were among the notable outfits.
Here’s a selection of our favourite costumes from today's race.
Magical: Runner in mask like Dobby from Harry Potter films
WENN
Sugar rush: The Honey Monster races along
WENN
Lotta bottle: He'll deserve a drink after running in this outfit
WENN
Roar of the crowd: The wonderful thing about Tiggers is their marathon running ability
WENN
Storming it: Stormtrooper makes a dash for it
WENN
Ear we go: Mickey Mouse on the run
WENN
Does whatever a spider can: Spiderman can run as well as climb up walls
WENN
Tired muscleman: Hulk Hogan lookalike wrestles through the field
WENN
Sweet success: Percy the pig's trotters moving quick
WENN
A-peeling: A pair of Pink Lady apples, rather bizarrely
WENN
Desert heat: Person in the camel suit must have needed water
WENN
Ooh, cheeky: There's short skirts, then there's this guy
WENN
Flowered up: Blue-haired man doesn't want any attention
WENN
Energy boost: Presumably the runner wearing Lucozade drank a lot of it on the way too
