Music for Museums A season of experimental performance 17 Sept - 29 Nov 2015 Tickets are now on sale for Music for Museums, a season of live experimental music featuring works by ground-breaking composers and artists. Divided into six themes, from Fluxus to Electonica and Sonic Spaces, events are on Thursday evenings and Saturday afternoons, with an accompanying programme of free film screenings. Book now.

Fluxus Apartment House Playing Cage, Paik, Maciunas 17 Sept, 8pm | £12/£10 concs London-based experimental music ensemble Apartment House perform key Fluxus scores, including work by influential musicians John Cage, Alison Knowles and Nam June Paik. Book now   David Toop and guests play Mieko Shiomi 19 Sept, 4pm | £12/10 concs David Toop alongside fellow musicians Rie Nakajima, Angharad Davies and students from University of the Arts London perform a work loosely based on minimalist composer Mieko Shiomi’s Fluxus event score Boundary Music (1963). Book now   The Voice Gavin Bryars & Etel Adnan 1 October, 8pm | £18/15 concs An evening with musician and composer Gavin Bryars and poet Etel Adnan: collaborators for over 30 years on numerous projects, from large-scale operatic pieces to intimate improvised readings. Book now   Paul Abott & Cara Tolmie/ Mikhail Karikas 3 October, 4pm | £12/£10 concs For this double bill, musician Paul Abbott and artist Cara Tolmie collaborate and Mikhail Karikis performs solo, in two sets that explore the importance of the voice. Book now   Electronica Florian Hecker 15 Oct, 8pm | £15/£12.50 concs In his installations, live performances and publications, Florian Hecker explores specific compositional developments of post-war modernity, electro-acoustic music, and other, non-musical disciplines. Book now   Hassan Khan 17 Oct, 4pm |  £15/£12.50 concs Hassan Khan’s performances combine live improvisation with existing compositions, often classical Arabic music, which he restructures in the studio. Book now   Systems Ryoji Ikeda + Carten Nicolai (cyclo.) 29 Oct, 8pm | £18/£15 concs Join cyclo., the collaborative research project by Ryoji Ikeda and Carsten Nicolai, for a multisensory and immersive event. Book now   Oliver Coates plays Hanne Darboven 31 Oct, 4pm |  £12/£10 concs Cellist Oliver Coates performs pieces by conceptual artist Hanne Darboven (1941–2009). Based on the late artist’s mathematical grid drawings transcribed into music, Coates plays 100 minutes of contemplative minimalist music. Book now   Sonic Spaces Thurston Moore 26 Nov, 8pm | £15/£12.50 concs Thurston Moore responds to the music of the late avant-garde composer Maryanne Amacher (1938–2009), known for her sonic experiments with architectural spaces and psychoacoustic phenomena.
