The Huntsman Winters War - Film Synopsis - Poster - Trailer

Harking back to a time before Snow White’s blade penetrated the evil Queen Ravenna and vanquished her from the land, the Queen lived alongside her sister, Freya.
With the two sisters separated due to Freya suffering a heart-breaking betrayal, their lives would head in different directions. Freya – the young Ice Queen – spent decades away from her sister in a wintry palace, raising a league of huntsmen that she may command.
Her favoured deadly huntsman, Eric, and warrior Sara, would however break away from the Ice Queen’s iron fist rule, defying her command of forever hardening their hearts to love.
In the aftermath of Ravenna’s demise at the hands of Snow White, Freya seeks to resurrect her using the immense powers of the Magic Mirror, so the two can bring twice the darkness down on the land, leaving Eric and Sara as the only ones who can combat this terrifying threat.
As a prequel and spin-off to the successful Snow White and the Huntsman (2012), The Huntsman: Winter’s Warexpands upon the legendary fairy-tale, with Chris Hemsworth (Avengers: Age of Ultron) and Charlize Theron (Mad Max: Fury Road) reprising their original roles.
Directed by Cedric Nicolas-Troyan, this prequel and spin-off also stars Emily Blunt (Sicario) as Freya and Jessica Chastain (Crimson Peak) as Sara.
