New Crossrail exhibition at the Museum of London Docklands

Opens 10th February 2017

Since 2009 the Crossrail project has tunnelled its way under London, connecting East to West and revealing the rich layers of history that lie under our modern city. Unearth the story of this great feat of engineering and investigate fascinating archaeological discoveries from prehistoric times to the twentieth century.

The exhibition will reveal the stories of a stunning range of artefacts, from prehistoric flints and Tudor bowling balls to human remains from the 17th century Bedlam cemetery.

The exhibition is free with exclusive extras for groups.

Find out more about London's Docklands with one of our guided walks or tours. Get to know one of our galleries in depth, discover the haunting tales of the docks, explore the East End's criminal past and much more.
The museum building was previously known as No.1 Warehouse of the West India Docks, London's first enclosed docks system. Our aptly-named, newest gallery examines how London's historic docks and warehouses operated during the height of their success and shouldn't be missed on a trip to the museum.
