Inspired by our Easter activities, this month we're sharing surprising stories from London Transport's Lost Property Office, which has handled over 15 million found objects since it first opened in 1933.

Join us for a four-day spring extravaganza as we throw open the doors to our Museum Depot in Acton, west London. We'll be exploring how art and design have characterised London transport for over 100 years.
Hear about contemporary art commissioning and the wonders of our world class transport poster collection through expert talks, poster store tours and creative workshops. Take part in fun family activities, or simply enjoy exploring the Depot and its transport delights at your own pace. | |  | |

13-18 April | Easter holiday family fun: discover the Lost Property Office | This week, enter the weird and wonderful world of London Transport’s Lost Property Office. Follow the trail around the Museum’s galleries until Sunday to discover fun facts about objects past and present that have been lost and found on London’s Tube trains and buses.
All family activities are included in your museum admission - and kids go free! | |

| | | | Object of the Month | Lost is Found poster | Our Object of the Month is this Lost is Found poster, a composite design made up of items from the Lost Property Office.
A collection of posters were designed, each inspired by and displayed at a different Circle line station: Baker Street Station was the home of the Lost Property Office.
This was part of From Here to Here, a project in the Art on the Underground / Platform for Art series. A book of stories and poems was also created, with each chapter inspired by a different station on the Circle line. | |  | |

 | Did you know? | Mobile phones are the most likely object to be reclaimed from the Lost Property Office: 48% are reunited with their owners. | |

| | Everything including the kitchen sink | Between the creation of London Transport in 1933 and 2019, the Lost Property Office at 200 Baker Street reunited passengers with belongings left on the network. Discover its history - and some of the startling lost items, including live tortoises, a wedding dress, a park bench, a boat, and a stuffed eagle!
