It's been an insanely busy month here at Duck Island Cottage (our HQ), as we've been busy getting the essential guidebook for the Weekend ready for the printers. It's grown by eight pages this year, and, if you have already purchased your tickets, we will be posting these and the guidebook out to you early in May.
We have also been developing the range of activities on offer and are delighted to present new, themed walks, a symposium on London's Green Future and gardening & gardening games for the young and not so young. (See below)
London's Green Future
This symposium, celebrating the London Parks & Gardens Trust's 20th anniversary and coinciding with Open Garden Squares Weekend, will discuss London’s green future: from the visionary to the practical. The symposium will showcase major new projects and present a range of existing small-scale initiatives. Speakers range from Dusty Gedge (Green Roof Campaigner and Designer) to James Hitchmough (Principal Planting Design and Horticultural Consultant for the Olympic Park) and include representatives from the GLA, the Landscape Institute, Institute of Horticulture, and those driving London's Garden Bridge project. LPGT members and OGSW ticket subscribers receive a 20% discount (£20 instead of £25) on registration when using this specific link.

New Walks
 | The popular City, Temple and Bloomsbury walks are back and in response to demand we have increased the number of these. We have also added new walks ranging from a World War One Walk of Remembrance to the Reclusive Gardens of Mayfair and a City Rooftop garden walk. Details of how to book these and all the other walks are contained within our guidebook sent out withtickets in early May.
