REVOLUTIONS WEEKENDER: A FESTIVAL OF PEACE, LOVE AND MUSIC Friday 4 – Sunday 6 NovemberExhibition in partnership with Levi's® Sound experience by Sennheiser In celebration of our major autumn exhibition You Say You Want a Revolution? Records and Rebels 1966-1970, join us for a weekend of free music, events and activities inspired by the ‘swinging’ sixties. Kicking off with a one-day international symposium, the weekend is filled with events including a live performance from Beatie Wolf & The Pack, the London premiere of John Lennon's 1964 book In His Own Write, a Revolutionary Reading Room, as well as a host of family events. Join us in the Raphael Gallery to learn about the Levi’s® Music Project and Skepta’s partnership establishing a community youth music space in Tottenham, North London. Working creatively with data offers new ways of embedding memory into something wearable. Over this workshop, learn how to use meaningful data as a material to inform an object’s aesthetic through finding a small dataset relating to an important moment, place, or person. Join her in conversation with V&A Fashion Curator Oriole Cullen as she discusses her approach and influences, including her earlier reportage experiences covering communities such as the Yanomami tribe in Amazonia and shamans in Siberia. Read more and book   CAITLIN PRICE IN CONVERSATION Friday 18 November, 19.00 – 20.00 Fashion designer Caitlin Price is known for her elevation of everyday pieces such as tracksuits and sweatshirts into a fantasy wardrobe through her approach to textiles and fabric manipulation, creating a ‘sports-luxe’ aesthetic. Launching on 13 November, The Afternoon Tea will be served in our Morris Room, the historic interior which was part of the Museum’s original Refreshment Rooms.
