Horniman Museum and Gardens - What's On in March

Robot Zoo Late
Thursday 2 March, 6.30–9.30pm

Join us for an evening safari around the Museum and explore the relationship between humans, animals and robots. Play with giant robot animals in our popular new exhibition, meet exotic sea creatures in our acclaimed Aquarium, get hands-on with specimens from our Natural History collection, and enjoy music, cocktails, games and a photobooth. There will also be prizes for animal and robot fancy dress.

Tickets £5. Book now (tickets will be available on the door). Over-18s only.
Library Open Day
Sunday 5 March, 10.30am–5.30pm

Drop into the Horniman Library to browse our collection of books from the 16th century through to the current day on subjects ranging from natural history to musical instruments, as well as accounts by early explorers and illustrated monographs.

Crossing Borders
Saturday 11 March, 11am–3pm

Join us to celebrate the diversity of our Forest Hill neighbourhood and the people that live here. Enjoy music and art workshops, family activities and thought-provoking installations produced in collaboration with organisations who work with local refugees and asylum seekers. Butterfly House
Opens summer 2017
 
We are delighted to announce that we will be opening a permanent Butterfly House in the Gardens this summer. The new attraction will offer visitors an immersive experience featuring a colourful range of free-flying butterflies in a specially-planted indoor garden.
