Nocturnal Creatures Saturday 20 July 2019, 6 – 11pm Join Whitechapel Gallery’s free late night contemporary art festival. For one night only, our galleries and a host of extraordinary east-end spaces are transformed by an exciting programme of installations, performances, music, film and culinary experiences. Highlights include a performance by Turner Prize winner Laure Prouvost, a specially-commissioned multi-media installation from Appau Jnr Boakye-Yiadom and a food intervention by Fourth Plinth artist Michael Rakowitz, plus more. Nocturnal Creatures offers unprecedented access to some of East London’s most unique spaces and heritage. New venues for this year include: the iconic Golden Heart Pub, the historic Toynbee Hall and Victorian Wash Houses at London Metropolitan University and the surreal Masonic Temple at Andaz London hotel.
