Here is our weekly travel update to help you get around London this weekend, 13 and 14 July, and the following week.
Most of the network will be open with services running as normal so you’ll be able to get wherever you need to go, but please check if any of the following affect you. | |

On Saturday 13 and Sunday 14 July, there will be no service between:
- Liverpool Street and Enfield Town / Cheshunt (via Seven Sisters) / Chingford. This is due to Network Rail track and infrastructure work. Use alternative Tube or local bus routes between Liverpool Street and Seven Sisters. You can also use Greater Anglia services between Stratford and Cheshunt (for entrance / exit at Stratford, Tottenham Hale and Cheshunt stations only). Rail replacement buses will run between Seven Sisters and Enfield Town / Cheshunt, and between Hackney Downs and Chingford
- Surrey Quays and Clapham Junction. This is due to Network Rail track work. Rail replacement buses will run
On Sunday 14 July, there will be no service between Euston and Kilburn High Road before 12:15 and after 20:30. This is due to Network Rail track work. Use alternative Tube or local bus routes.
From Monday 15 until Thursday 18 July, there will be no service between:
- Hackney Downs and Enfield Town / Cheshunt (via Seven Sisters) after 22:45 each evening. This is due to Network Rail track maintenance. Rail replacement buses will run
- Sydenham and West Croydon after 22:15 each evening due to Network Rail track work. Use Southern services between Sydenham and Norwood Junction. Rail replacement buses will run between Norwood Junction and West Croydon

Bus and road users may be affected by the following changes this weekend. We expect to run a good service, but buses may be delayed, diverted or stop short of their normal destination.
Gunnersbury Park - From 12:00 on Friday 12 until 23:59 on Sunday 14 July, Gunnersbury Park will hosting a music festival licensed by the local authority. The A406 will be reduced to one lane in both directions at the junction of Gunnersbury Lane and Popes Lane between 14:00 and midnight on Friday, and between midday and midnight on Saturday and Sunday. This is to help with crowd control. Large crowds and increased traffic levels are expected in the area.
Whitehall - From 08:00 until 12:00 on Saturday 13 July, Whitehall will be closed between Parliament Square and Trafalgar Square. This is due to a ceremonial event.
Westminster - From 13:45 until 18:00 on Saturday 13 July, a group will form up at Trafalgar Square and march to Richmond Terrace via Whitehall. Delays are expected.
Trafalgar Square - From 06:00 on Sunday 14 until 01:00 on Monday 15 July, Pall Mall East and both the east and west sides of Trafalgar Square will be closed. This is due to an event.
Shoreditch - From 06:00 until 13:00 on Sunday 14 July, there will be various road closures between Hoxton Square and Clissold Park including Green Lanes, Newington Green, Newington Church Street and Englefield Road. This is due to a 10k run that starts and finishes in Shoreditch Park.
Regent Street - From 08:00 until 20:00 on Sunday 14 July, Regent Street will be closed between Mortimer Street and Piccadilly Circus. This is due to a festival.
Lords Cricket Ground - From 08:30 until 20:30 on Sunday 14 July, Lords Cricket Ground will be hosting the Cricket World Cup Final, with play starting at 10:30. Large crowds and increased traffic levels are expected throughout the day. Wellington Road will have lane restrictions to help with crowd control.
City of London - From 18:00 until 20:30 on Tuesday 16 July, there will be various road closures across City of London. This includes City Road, Finsbury Pavement, Chiswell Street, Beech Street, Aldersgate Street, St Martins Le Grand, Cheapside, King Street, Gresham Street, Aldermanbury, Basinghall Street, Lothbury, Bartholomew Lane, Threadneedle Street, Old Broad Street, London Wall and Moorgate. This is due to a race.
Tower Bridge - From Tuesday 16 until Friday 19 July, Tower Bridge will be closed between 22:00 and 05:00 each night. This is due to maintenance works.
Parliament Square - From Wednesday 17 July, a group will form up at Parliament Square between 13:00 and 17:00 every Wednesday until 28 August. This is due to a demonstration.

- Albert Gate, Serpentine Car Park, Triangle Car Park and Black Lion Gate, for Hyde Park concerts
- Rodney Street, Angel, due to health and safety
- One Tower Bridge, Bermondsey, for Cycleway 4 works
- Pall Mall East, Westminster, due to a road traffic accident
