FORTNUM & MASON - A First Look At Their Christmas Windows

Discover the cats, the myths and the legends behind #FortnumsChristmas

Consider our halls decked: unveiled on 1st November, our wonderful new Piccadilly windows present a behind-the-scenes look at our Christmas production line. While Father Christmas relies on an enthusiastic workforce of elves, we have traditionally employed a herd of cats – clad in Fortnum’s Red Coats, of course – to keep things ticking along over the festive period. You’d be amazed at how incentivised they are by a mince pie or two.
Replete with gold wheels, intricate pipes and whirring machinery, the windows honour the extraordinary detail that goes into making a Fortnum’s Christmas as special as it is, from crackers with a pitch-perfect bang to salmon that’s just the right shade of pink.

Along Duke Street, meanwhile, the windows celebrate the history and mystery behind our Christmas hampers, packed with every possible thing needed for the season.
And that’s not all. As if our famous clock wasn’t enough, this year we’re transforming our store façade into one colossal advent calendar. Come December we’ll be joyfully celebrating the Christmas countdown on a grander scale than ever before – and if nothing else, you’ll be able to use our store façade to tell both the time and date, giving you no excuses to leave your Christmas shopping to the last minute.
We look forward to welcoming you to our Piccadilly store soon.
