By popular demand London Transport Museum's blockbuster exhibition Poster Art 150 - London Underground's Greatest Designs has been extended until 5 January 2014. The exhibition showcases 150 of the greatest Underground posters ever produced, chosen from the Museum's archive of over 3,300 by a panel of art and design experts. Supported by Siemens, the exhibition is part of the 150th anniversary celebrations of the London Underground. It features posters by many famous artists including Man Ray, Edward McKnight Kauffer and Paul Nash, and designs from each decade over the last 100 years.

We’re celebrating the extension of Poster Art 150 withPoster Playground - a special Friday Late on 20 September. Join us for a fun-packed evening that will include music, a bar, a magician, fortune teller and Miss Ballooniverse. There will be curator-led tours, make-and-take creative workshops, a quiz and photographic scavenger hunt as well as the chance to vote for your all-time favourite poster in theSiemens Poster Vote. Have your photo taken on giant 3D street art outside in Covent Garden Piazza, join in giant games and have your face painted with transport inspired designs. Over 18s only.

Tickets are still available for the heritage steam train runs this weekend. Metropolitan Steam locomotive No. 1 and our Victorian Jubilee Carriage 353 will run throughout the day between Amersham and Harrow-on-the-Hill stations. Make it a big day out and combine it with a visit to Amersham Museum on Saturday 7 September. And on Sunday 8 September you can enjoy the Town Show at Amersham-on-the-Hill, a short walk from Amersham station. Why not also take advantage of the free vintage bus service to Amersham Old Town to enjoy Amersham Heritage Day.
