Whether you’re off to Carnival or keeping things low-key, it’s easy and convenient to get there with TfL.

1. Join London’s longest-running street party Experience the joyful celebration of Caribbean culture with Notting Hill Carnival. Get there by tube, several stations are a short walk away. Whatever the weather does this August you can be sure of a warm and sunny welcome at the royal residences. Buckingham Palace is open for the summer, and it's easy to have a truly royal day out by combining a ticket to the Royal Mews and The Queen's Gallery in London as well. We have plenty of activities in Edinburgh and Windsor to keep visitors young and old entertained all summer long. If you can't visit Buckingham Palace in person this year you can still join our online Q&A on Instagram on 16 August from 14:00 BST.
