Giant LEGO advent calendar lands on Covent Garden | Toy Industry | News by ToyNews: "Entirely brick-based calendar will open one door at 4.00pm every day until Christmas morning.
Best advent calendar ever?
Quite possibly. This 600,000 LEGO brick spectacular is currently situated in Covent Garden's Piazza.
In keeping with tradition, calendar doors will be opened one at a time (at 4.00pm) each day leading up to Christmas. Hidden behind each door is a '3D LEGO Christmas surprise'. Included are a Christmas cake, an elf and a reindeer.
The calendar was constructed by professional LEGO builder Duncan Titchmarsh.
It took seven weeks to complete, is five-metres wide and three-metres high. Each window is 51cm by 38cm and over 30 different coloured bricks were used."
