Covent Garden Christmas lights 2018 - Tuesday 13 November 2018

Christmas at Covent Garden is almost here! Make sure you embrace the Christmas spirit by celebrating the most wonderful time of the year in Covent Garden when we turn on our Christmas lights on Tuesday 13th November.
Enjoy performances from the sensational Royal Wedding gospel choir The Kingdom Choir and the Royal Shakespeare Company's multi-award winning production of Roald Dahls' Matilda The Musical.
You can expect the return of our 40 magnificent mistletoe chandeliers - each ranging from 2.5 to 3.5 metres in size, adorned with almost 700 glistening berries. Over 320 metres of garlands unite the chandeliers, with around 100,000 pea lights suspended within the historic Market Building. Outside, the world famous Piazza will once again host London’s biggest hand-picked Christmas tree and the return of our magnificent reindeer statue on the East Piazza!
We're very proud to be supporting Crisis this Christmas, the charity behind the initiative of ending homelessness for good. Stay tuned for more details and how to donate.

Regent Street has long been famous for its spectacular lights display during the Christmas season, as the first ever central London location to introduce festive lighting and decoration in 1954. The tradition has carried on and since influenced many other destinations nationwide to bring this spirit to their local communities through festive lighting schemes.

The fleet of spectacular large-scale ‘spirits’ will return for another year to soar the length of one of London’s most recognisable destinations. Designed by leading British lighting creatives, James Glancy Design, the scheme is a breath-taking gift to the street’s visitors to mark the ‘most wonderful time of the year’.
