Nicholas Hawksmoor: Methodical Imaginings
15 May – 1 September 2013 Terrace Rooms, South Wing Free admission The British baroque architect Nicholas Hawksmoor built a series of important London churches during the early part of the 18th century and this exhibition focuses on seven of these. The key distinguishing features of Hawksmoor’s churches are their spires, each designed with different qualities, which rose throughout the city and became urban markers.
