Opera Holland Park - Prelude at Leighton House

 

Join us for an evening of glorious music and good company as we look forward to a summer of opera in Holland Park There are only three weeks to go until Prelude, where we will celebrate the upcoming 2023 Season and our principal singers through an evening of music, good company and a sparkling reception. Some of the stars of the season, including Eleanor Dennis, Meeta Raval and Alessandro Scotto di Luzio, join us from the rehearsal room to give us a taster of what to expect from our productions of Rigoletto, Hansel and Gretel, La bohème and Ruddigore. The evening will also feature the first performance of music from Jonathan Dove’s new opera, Itch. Prelude takes place in the beautiful surroundings of the newly renovated Leighton House, which is just a stone's throw from Holland Park. We hope to see you there on Tuesday 9 May at 6.30 pm. Launching on Earth Day on Saturday 22 April, Nature Overheard came from our appeal for students across the UK aged 11-14 to share what questions they wanted answered about nature in urban areas. From the submissions we chose the important question how can we make roads better for nature? Now we need you to join the investigation into how insects are affected by noise pollution, so we can support road developers, councils and others to work together to make roads better for nature.
