A Midsummer Night's Dream at Open Air

Forbidden love at the heart of a gypsy community brings danger on a midsummer’s night. As the lovers escape, mischief and sensual seduction ensue in a confusion of worlds real and unreal. Featuring the Open Air Theatre’s celebrated fusion of original music, movement and unique setting, this big fat gypsy telling of Shakespeare’s comedic tale is set to be one of the theatrical highlights of the year.

London View - Lioness chasing a Lesser Kudu, Grosvenor Gardens.
Lower and Upper Grosvenor Gardens do not open until 10:00 am and close at 6:00 pm or dusk if that is earlier. Used mainly by office workers as somewhere to have their lunch.
The gardens which are formed by two triangular areas were named after the Grosvenor family who were great landowners in central London.
Lower Grosvenor Gardens was originally laid out in the french style and has the 1930's statue of Mashal Foch at the entrance. Within the garden are two ornate shell covered buildings.
Upper Grosvenor Garden was re-landscaped and opened to the public for the first time in 2000. In the centre of the garden is a life-sized sculpture of a Lioness chasing a Lesser Kudu. The sculpture was commissioned by the Duke of Westminster from the sculptor Jonathan Kenworthy.
