Bond Street Lights
Adding to what is already a very glamorous part of town, the Bond Street Christmas Lights will add extra sparkle once more in 2015. Last year saw sprays of peacock-inspired decorations with enormous feathers perched prettily above festive shop windows.
The switch on event will take place at 5pm on November 12.
Every Christmas at Covent Garden, a huge Christmas tree glows with red and white lights on the west side of the square, and a 22-foot tall silver reindeer stands on a pile of gifts on the east side. Joining him every Saturday afternoon in December will be live reindeer who visitors can help to feed and take photos with. From the first weekend of November, the area is decorated with 150,000 sparkling pealights. The London Youth Choir marks the switch-on moment with a free, open-air performance featuring traditional festive carols with a modern twist.
